Terms & Conditions

So as to help you in your stay the following terms and conditions apply to any booking.

1. A booking must be secured against a non refundable deposit of the first nights stay unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to re-let your room if we do not receive your deposit, or you fail to arrive for your first nights stay without prior notification. We also reserve the right to re-let your room if, without prior notification, you do not arrive during an agreed check in time.

1a. Your booking will be completed when we acknowledge receipt of your request and deposit. Prior to that the booking will only be regarded as provisional.

1b. Cancellation/curtailment policy: If you cancel any part of your stay within 7 days of arrival, curtail your stay after checking in or fail to show for your first nights stay we reserve the right to charge up to the full value of your visit, therefore we suggest you have sufficient insurance in place for this eventuality.

1c. If we have to cancel your reservation, we will give a full refund or rearrange your stay for another date or endeavour to find alternative suitable accommodation. Our liability will be limited to the cost of the accommodation booked at Oldfield House and does not include any other costs incurred by you.

2. Any breakages and damage caused must be reported when the occurrence happens after which we reserve the right to charge for the damage caused, for the cleaning of the rooms after spillages, smoking and take away food odours, for redecoration in part or in whole, for the replacement of any broken item and for loss of earnings due to the next occupants not being able to use the room.

2a. After check out, your room will be checked for missing items. Any fixtures/fittings/towels etc found to be missing will be charged to your account.

Any occurrences under 2 & 2a will be notified in writing as soon as possible.

3. We cannot accept responsibility for owners possessions left in the house during your stay. Please ensure the front door is locked each time you leave the house.

4. We reserve the right to charge for an extra nights stay for late check out.

Payment

We accept cash, debit cards and credit cards. (surcharge of 2% will apply to credit cards). We are unable to accept cheques.

We are a non-smoking establishment. Persons found to have smoked in their room will be asked to leave and forfeit the full cost of their stay. We will also seek recompense as detailed under paragraph 2.

We do not accept pets.
